COVID Relief Project for Ghanian Teen Mothers and Cancer Patients

On October 30th, JMA had its 3rd joint COVID Relief Project with the United States of Young Africans (USOYA), successfully delivering hundreds of COVID relief supplies to teen mothers, cancer survivors, and other patients at Kwesimintsim Hospital.

We are incredibly proud to work with USOYA’s dedicated volunteer network — all of whom helped carry our COVID Relief supplies to patients in the hospital alongside the medical staff, and were the first and youngest Ghanian students offered medical internships in recent history due to their dedication in supporting their community during the pandemic!

We were able to deliver sanitizers, drinking water, diapers/feminine hygiene products, PPE, and more — but the extent of our impact will not stop here; stay tuned to see how we’ll be supporting Ghanian small businesses and public health innovation through our Venture Capital Initiative!
