Junior Medical Academy is working with Congressman Ro Khanna’s Agents of Change’s (AOC) base of motivated high school students to teach our curriculum locally to students in Union City.
Agents of Change is a student-run platform that seeks to create lasting positive impact locally through a variety of projects and further Ro Khanna’s cause and campaign. Some of AOC’s previous endeavors include volunteering at Sacred Heart, where participants provide clothing and food to San Jose homeless individuals to better the community, at Abode Homeless shelter, to prepare a meal for 40 residents, and at events like the Great American Litter pickup and Summer Meals Kickoff.
JMA also caters toward underprivileged children and resonates with many of AOC’s core values. JMA’s mission is to have the greatest impact on the most amount of students from underserved communities with the hope of influencing them to pursue STEM-related careers and be the doctors and scientists of tomorrow, while giving them a quality free education and helping them work toward brighter futures. Along with having an international presence in several countries, JMA also works closely with local elementary schools and homeless shelters.
