Junior Medical Academy is working with Educate Lanka Foundation, a 501 c(3) nonprofit that deals with providing underprivileged and economically disadvantaged children with the necessary scholarships, education, and resources needed to succeed. JMA plans to utilize its funds to donate to students in absolute poverty who cannot afford educational materials, guidance, and/or basic necessities through Educate Lanka Foundation. JMA sincerely thanks Educate Lanka Foundation for their provision of leadership and empowerment curricula to further the two organization’s common mission of spreading education and bettering the lives of underserved children.
Educate Lanka has previously worked with a variety of projects involing bettering the lives of underpriviledged youth. The students that go through the program are able to receive scholarships. As displayed in the feature image, for Educate Lanka Foundation's 3rd distribution, they were able to reach every province in Sri Lanka to give scholarships to Educate Lanka Scholars.
JMA also caters toward underprivileged children and resonates with many of Educate Lanka’s core values. JMA’s mission is to have the greatest impact on the most amount of students from underserved communities with the hope of influencing them to pursue STEM-related careers and be the doctors and scientists of tomorrow, while giving them a quality free education and helping them work toward brighter futures.
